NEX comes thru again!!!

Got some new tennies yesterday at the NEX... which I think Nathan is more pumped about than I am... he keeps asking me, "why aren't you wearing your new tennies?!?"... and I answer, " because I'm in my PJs and I'm not going for a run..."

anyways.... I got them for 79 bucks even though they are normally 99.99. ( I LOVE THE NEX)

Through good times and bad...

Lately... us Joneses have had our ups and downs...

I'll start with the downs.... Peyton Manning is out for a while... sad. Which means Nate dawg my mate dawg is not the happiest hubby on the block. :(

But... he still smiles when I wear my Colts jersey! WOOP WOOP!


Now for the good...

We have had some good times on the base lately. We went bowling the other night with some ortho guys at the bowling alley across the street... 6 games + 2 shoe rentals + the lane = only $11.50! It was AWESOME! AND the food and beverages weren't bad either!

and the best part about the evening was the awesome late night jams they had playing... Nate dawg was showing off his dance moves all night long! Let me tell you... it was impressive.

Rashonda from Georgia gave me a haircut... 3.5 inches. (it looks way shorter when its curly)

Portsmouth as we know it...

So here is a little update from Portsmouth...
We are having a pretty awesome time. Nathan only has to go to work from about 9am to 1:30pm and the rest of the day we get to hangout!!! YAY!!!
I have to admit that much of our time is spent watching my new favorite obesession "Bones," but we do our fair share of fun things as well...

This is the boardwalk at VA Beach. We took a little day trip. It was nice and trashy/redneck. We also played putt putt and Nathan won. Go figure, he wins at most things. (he also won our game of HORSE today at the gym).

Here is a little gem that I took just before Nathan left for work this AM. What a stud. I've always loved khaki on khaki... and pointed hats.

And, saving the best for last. Probably my favorite thing about Portsmouth is my main man's sweet rental car. The HHR or as I like to call it, "The HHGregg." Let me tell you. We look pretty awesome cruising in this bad boy. We like to save it for special occasions.

It's official. I'm now a Navy wife.

I know I already wrote once today but I totally for got to write about how official I feel.

And... though I once was skeptical of it... so far (aka today) being a Navy wife doesn't seem so bad. Today we went to the "N.E.X." (which I think means Navy Exchange) where there is all kinds of stuff for cheap prices. I got some designer jeans... it was crazy. Also... being part of the Navy means that you will most of the time be on the water which today was GREAT because we got to walk around the harbor and look at the huge navy ships...

Kickin off married life in Portmouth...

I guess us Joneses cant do anything normal. I woke up this morning in the NAVY Gateway Inn and Suites in the "great town" of Portsmouth, VA. So far I would describe Portsmouth as mildly ghetto and kinda run down, but for us it is HOME for the next 3 weeks.
I love it here. Mostly because Nathan and I can just close-sit on our ugly striped loveseat and watch gameday and of course Nathan has to watch a little bit of the Ohio State game...
For some reason today seems like our first day of normal married life. I guess that's because we are now done with the honeymoon and last week we spent apart :( . But now we are together and we get to have a lazy Saturday together... AND I LOVE IT!!!!
